Holiday Club in the Woods

29th July till 7th August 2020 – Dacres Wood Nature Reserve (6-12yr olds)

A club filled with outdoor adventures.  Our activities are aimed at engaging the children’s creativity and imagination. They’ll learn Forest School based skills such as:

  • den/shelter building

  • fire lighting

  • outdoor cooking

  • team games

  • wood work

  • whittling

  • nature-based crafts

£225 per child per week

£150 per sibling per week

As we are having to create ‘bubbles’ (as per governement guidelines), children will need to attend for a whole week, and are unable to take them on a daily basis as we have done previously.  They may attend for both weeks if you’d like them too.  We will only be taking 13 children to be able to create our ‘bubble’ each week.

Children will need to bring a healthy lunch and snacks.  All our activities will take place outdoors so waterproof clothing, and a spare change of clothes, are essential.  Booking is via Happity

Our team are very experienced at working outdoors with children, we all hold enhanced DBS check, and there will be a first aider on site at all times.

We will have stringent procedures in place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 to both the children and staff.  Full details of these are available on request, but these are the main points:

  • Parents/Carers must drop children at the gate, and will not be permitted to enter the site.

  • Children and staff will wash hands at entrance to site, at regular intervals throughout the day, and before leaving the site

  • All activities have been planned to ensure risk of transmission is reduces, which means children will have individual equipment where possible (such as scissors, pens, pencils, etc) for the duration of their time at the club.

  • Tools that need to be shared (e.g. knives for whittling, etc) will be disinfected after each use, before being passed to another child to use.

  • Children must bring their own food, and sharing will not be allowed.

Please be assured that none of our measures will have an impact on the children’s enjoyment of the club, the focus will still be on having lots of wild fun!
